CT-113 is a stamped brass lion foot leg toe cap. Commonly found on Duncan Phyfe table legs, this toe cap is three sided and slides onto your table leg's foot. This toe cap measures 1 5/8" wide, 1 5/8" high and fits over the last 1 5/8" of the table foot. This toe cap attaches using a small nail inserted on each side. Duncan Phyfe was a leading 19th century cabinet maker. His style was actually not a new one, but an interpretation of different styles popular in Europe a the time. The Duncan Phyfe style enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in the 1940's in the US. The toe caps were commonly found on dining room chairs as well as living room end tables and occasional stands.
